It's a fair question. Lots of websites offer help with TFNs and ABNs, and some are misleading. Here are the facts about us — and how to check any service, including ours.
Who we are
TaxGov is a trading name of Norgenic SL, a company registered in Spain (CIF B67882019), with its office at Av. Jaume I, 95, 1º, 08226 Terrassa (Barcelona). This website was previously published at aus.taxgov.org. Full details are in our Legal Notice.
What we are not
- We are not the ATO, the Australian Business Register or any government agency.
- We are not a registered tax agent and don't give tax advice.
- We can't issue TFNs or ABNs, approve applications or make the government faster.
What we do
We prepare, check and submit TFN and ABN applications for people who want help, and support them until the outcome. Our fee is 99–199 AUD, shown before you pay.
You can do it for free
Applying for a TFN with the ATO and for an ABN with the Business Registration Service is free. If you're comfortable with the official forms, you don't need us.
Checklist: how to check any TFN or ABN service
- Does it say clearly that it isn't the government? Look for a visible disclaimer, not just small print.
- Does it tell you the official route is free?
- Is the price shown before you pay?
- Can you identify the company behind it — name, registration number and address?
- Does it promise the impossible? "TFN in 24 hours" or "guaranteed approval" are red flags: processing is done by the government.
- Is the connection secure (https) and is there a privacy policy explaining what happens to your documents?
- Is there a refund policy and a way to contact real people?
If a service fails these checks, apply directly with the government instead.
